Review

Results you may expect from using iS Clinical C Eye Serum Advance Plus:

Based on the ingredient analysis by CreamScan, these are the key benefits you can expect from using iS Clinical C Eye Serum Advance Plus:

  • A bit of moisturizing. It has a moisturizing rating of 1.6 out of 10.
  • Little anti-wrinkle effect: iS Clinical C Eye Serum Advance Plus has an anti-wrinkle rating of 0.7 out of 10, so you may expect a positive, although insignificant, effect on wrinkles.
  • Antioxidant protection.

How moisturizing is it?

Slightly moisturizing: iS Clinical C Eye Serum Advance Plus has a moisturizing rating of 1.6 out of 10.

Is it more humectant or occlusive? Purely humectant. It has zero occlusivity (we didn't find any occlusive ingredients on the ingredient list) and a moderate humectancy of 3.1 out of 10, primarily due to Sodium Hyaluronate (est. ≈1.5%), Propylene Glycol (est. ≈1.3%) and Tripeptide-1 (est. ≈0.3%).

Tip: Studies suggest that humectants alone do not moisturize the skin. We recommend applying a product with some occlusive ingredients after the use of this one.

Please refer to the Ratings section below for details of the moisturizing rating calculation.

Anti-wrinkle efficacy

According to CreamScan analysis, iS Clinical C Eye Serum Advance Plus has a minimal anti-wrinkle rating of 0.7 out of 10. It contains one ingredient with proven anti-wrinkle efficacy: Ascorbic Acid (est. ≈1.4%),
or Vitamin C, a popular anti-wrinkle ingredient, yet with average efficacy confirmed by only one study.

Among others, iS Clinical C Eye Serum Advance Plus also contains Tripeptide-1, an ingredient marketed as effective in reducing wrinkles. However, the studies supporting the anti-wrinkle claims of Tripeptide-1 provide insufficient evidence of its efficacy according to CreamScan Research Evaluation Standards. Therefore, this ingredient does not contribute to the anti-wrinkle rating.

Moisturizers, when used regularly, are proven to prevent wrinkle formation and even reduce existing wrinkles. Therefore, this product, like any other moisturizer, could deliver additional anti-wrinkle efficacy through its moisturizing action.

Please refer to the Ratings section below for details of the anti-wrinkle rating calculation.

Antioxidant benefits

We estimate that iS Clinical C Eye Serum Advance Plus is rich (> 3%) in antioxidants, specifically Sodium Hyaluronate (est. ≈1.5%), Ascorbic Acid (est. ≈1.4%) and Bioflavonoids (est. ≈0.3%).

A key benefit of antioxidants is their ability to reduce oxidative stress caused by free radicals and therefore prevent accelerated skin aging. Studies also show that antioxidants can protect against environmental damage such as UV radiation and pollution, and help reduce inflammation and skin redness.

Ingredients explained

Water
Est. %95
Function
Origin
The most used ingredient in skincare. Its concentration defines the product texture: rich creams may have about 50% of water while a light jelly about 90%. Water doesn’t moisturize the skin by itself and is used in skincare as a solvent for other ingredients.
Sodium Hyaluronate
Est. %1.5
Function
Origin
A sodium salt of famous hyaluronic acid. A potent humectant that hydrates the skin, supports collagen function, and fills out small wrinkles. Sodium hyaluronate also offers soothing and antioxidant properties.
Ascorbic Acid
Est. %1.4
Function
Origin

Also known as vitamin C, this multi-benefit ingredient has proven anti-wrinkle, antioxidant, and anti-pigmentation efficacy. It degrades easily when exposed to air and light, so it requires proper packaging to maintain its stability.

Propylene Glycol
Est. %1.3
Function
Origin
A clear, thick, odorless liquid of synthetic origin. Its main function is to stabilize cosmetic products exposed to varying temperatures. It is also a moderately strong humectant with similar properties to glycerin.

A partially hydrolyzed potato starch, most commonly used as a viscosity controlling and binding agent. When dispersed into water, it can create textures ranging from a thick paste to a soft gel.
Tripeptide-1
Est. %0.3
Function
Origin

A small, skin-identical peptide that boosts collagen renewal in the skin and improves other structural proteins. It may have trouble penetrating the skin in this form, so palmitic acid or biotin is usually added to it.

Bioflavonoids
Est. %0.3

A mixture of plant-based compounds commonly referred to as flavonoids. Each flavonoid has slightly different properties, but overall they are potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds.

The most frequently used preservative in skincare. It is a clear, oil-like liquid synthetic substance that protects products from harmful bacteria and yeast, whilst still leaving skin microflora unharmed. It is confirmed by research to be harmless.
