Lepidium sativum sprout extract is a fragrant and antioxidant extract obtained from the young sprouts of cress, or garden cress (Lepidium sativum).
Garden cress is related to watercress and mustard and, similarly to them, is rich in sulfur compounds called glucosinolates. These give the garden cress sprouts their pungent, spicy aroma and taste.
The extract also contains flavonoids, carotenoids, and organic acids, which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
