Overview

Hydrogenated palm glycerides is a very uncommon mixture starting to gain traction as a natural petrolatum replacement.

This is an emollient that is derived from palm oil. Palm oil has a high fatty acid content, for this reason, the material is modified either by heat or chemical processing to create a solid or more viscous ingredient with unique benefits compared to pure palm oil.

This ingredient can form a more occlusive barrier on the skin. It can be used in a variety of products from pomades and leave-in conditioners, to body creams and lotion to give a more rich, moisturized feeling to the skin.
