Overview

Wine extract is an antioxidant-rich extract obtained from wine, preferably red (as it has a richer composition of antioxidants). The most famous one is resveratrol – you can read more about it here.

The red color of wine is caused by the red grape pigments called anthocyanins. These, along with flavonoids and tannins, are the basis for the properties of the wine extract, namely its rich red color, characteristic aroma and taste, and powerful antioxidant properties.
