Triethylhexanoin (formerly labeled as Trioctanoin) is an ester of glycerin and 2-ethylhexanoic acid, which is a fatty acid. It comes in the form of an oily liquid that is used in skincare products as a part of the oil base.

It is an occlusive moisturizing and emollient ingredient with good spreadability. It does not leave a sticky feeling on the skin.
