Overview

Thiodipropionic acid (often shortened to TDPA) is a synthetic organic acid that is used in skincare products as an antioxidant and stabilizing ingredient.

It is generally regarded as safe and non-irritating. There are no scientific studies that mention TDPA having any particular effects on the skin.
