Overview

Syzygium jambos leaf extract is an antimicrobial extract derived from Rose apple (Syzygium jambos) leaves. As the name suggests, Syzygium jambos is related to the Syzygium aromaticum – the clove tree.

Rose apple leaves have been used in the traditional medicine of many equatorial countries for their anti-inflammatory properties. They are currently in the focus of researchers as a prospective treatment for acne.

The extract contains various tannins, flavonoids, phenolics, and squalene, which provide antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, astringent, and antimicrobial benefits for the skin.
