Overview

Rosa roxburghii fruit extract is an antioxidant and astringent extract derived from the fruits of the Rosa roxburghii, or Sweet chestnut rose.

The name comes from the appearance of the fruits – they are covered in spiny bumps and, unlike rosehips, remain green even in the fully ripe stage. The fruits of the Rosa roxburghii have very similar uses to regular rosehips – the fleshy green part contains vitamin C, tannins, and flavonoids (which are antioxidant and astringent) and the seeds contain unsaturated fatty acids.

In your skincare product, it acts as a beneficial antioxidant ingredient that can also help to improve the appearance of large pores.
