Overview
Rosa moschata seed oil is a fatty oil expressed from the seeds of the Rosa moschata – the musk rose. This rose has been cultivated for centuries for its rare musky scent, which is different from other roses.
The oil expressed from the seeds from the inside of musk rose hips is very similar in composition and uses to its more common cousin – Rosa canina seed oil. It contains a significant amount of carotenoids (pro-vitamin A) which have an antioxidant effect, and it also has occlusive and emollient properties.
