Overview
Rosa damascena extract is a fragrant extract obtained from the Damask rose. Damask rose essential oil is one of the most prized essential oils in the cosmetic and perfume industry and we wrote in length about it here.
This extract contains a significant amount of rose essential oil, which gives the extract (and the whole skincare product) a fresh, rosy scent. Rose petals also contain other phytochemicals such as tannins, which have astringent properties and give the skin a tightening feeling.
