Overview
Rosa centifolia flower extract is an extract obtained from the flowers of the Rosa centifolia – also known as the Provence rose or cabbage rose (referring to its rich, multi-petal flower head).
It contains a significant amount of rose essential oil, which gives the extract (and the whole cosmetic product) a fresh rosy scent. Rose petals also contain other phytochemicals, mainly tannins, which are astringent and give the skin a tightening feeling.
