Overview

Ppg-2 myristyl ether propionate is usually found under the trademark name CRODAMOLâ„¢ PMP and is used as a non-greasy, emollient, and skin-smoothing ingredient. It is a synthetically prepared ester of a fatty acid (myristic acid), a clear, colorless liquid with a mild sweet scent.

After application, it gives the skin a smoothened, soft feel without a greasy or sticky residue. Because of this, it is often used in leave-in products (especially make-up).

Ppg-2 myristyl ether propionate is listed among common comedogenic ingredients by acne.org.
