Overview

PPG-15 stearyl ether is a very polar, polyether emollient that is created using polypropylene glycol and stearyl alcohol. It is ethoxylated; therefore, has a high chemical stability in formulations versus other esters. It has fast spreading, low viscosity and a medium shine.

Due to its nature, it can be used in a wide pH range with minimal impact on the formulation. It provides excellent lubrication without excess oil and it can be used as a solvent for oil actives, pigments, and chemical sunscreens.

It can be used in antiperspirants to help decrease the irritation and improve glide on the skin.
