Polymnia sonchifolia root juice is a juice pressed from fresh Yacón tubers. Yacón (Polymnia sonchifolia or Smallanthus sonchifolius) is a South American crop grown for its potato-like tubers, fairly unknown outside of Peru.
The freshly pressed juice is rich in oligosaccharides, which have humectant moisturizing effects and act as prebiotics, stimulating the natural microflora of the skin.
It is a part of the trademarked ingredient Ecoskin®, marketed as especially suitable for oily skin types.
