Overview

Polyglutamic acid is a natural polymer prepared from glutamic acid (which is a common amino acid) via the fermentation processes by Bacillus bacteria.

This polymer is classified as a film-forming agent; it forms a smooth and soft film on the skin and provides hydration and protection. According to the manufacturer, it absorbs about 5000 times its own weight in water.
