Overview
Polyacrylate crosspolymer-6 is a polymeric ingredient that is mainly used to stabilize emulsions and control viscosity. It works best in water-based formulas and results in a gel texture. The gel texture ensures a non-tacky finish with excellent lubricity – also known as spreadability.
In addition to thickening water-based products, polyacrylate crosspolymer-6 also helps stabilize emulsions and even specific ingredients within the emulsion, such as claims actives. The network it creates leaves tiny, secure spaces that the other water-soluble ingredients can fill in. This network provides support for these ingredients to prevent them from separating out from the emulsion.
