Polyacrylate-13 is a synthetic film-forming ingredient.
It is polymeric in nature, which means it is a large molecule made up of many repeating smaller units. Due to this structure, it can form networks throughout the skincare product it is added to. These complex networks absorb the other ingredients in the product into their matrix, protecting them from being washed away easily by water or sweat when applied to the skin.
