Overview

The other, more commonly known name for Pogostemon Cablin oil is patchouli essential oil.

It is a luxurious fragrance obtained from the leaves of the patchouli plant, Pogostemon cablin. The scent is strong and heavy, musky, earthy, and sweet due to the composition of the essential oil - which mainly contains germacrene, patchoulol, and norpatchoulenol.

The oil is reddish-brown in color and quite expensive because it is impossible to replace the original scent with synthetically made aromas.
