Overview

Pelargonium graveolens flower oil, or rose geranium flower oil, is a fragrant essential oil derived from a plant known as rose geranium.

It is widely used in aromatherapy and massage therapy to ease tension. It has a distinct, rose-like scent due to its content of nerol and geraniol, and is added to skincare products as a substitute for more expensive rose oils.

When left unsealed, rose geranium flower oil, like most other essential oils, can oxidize and form allergenic compounds. People should be careful when using this oil and at least do a patch test first.
