Overview

PEG/PPG-17/6 copolymer is a short chain polymer of propylene oxide and ethylene that is used in facial toners, body washes, make-up removers, deodorants, and face washes. It provides emollience and slip in beauty products as well as solvency effects for cosmetic actives, pigments, and some fragrances and oils.

It has a medium viscosity and is soluble in water. It is typically used in chemistry to stabilize a cosmetic product and is usually supplied in a blend of a variety of chemicals, especially in silicone dispersions for the ease of addition in water.

It is used in the household industry as well in a variety of applications such as laundry detergent.
