Overview

Ormenis multicaulis oil is a fragrant essential oil isolated from the flowers of Moroccan chamomile – Cladanthus mixtus (formerly called Ormenis multicaulis).

According to the research, Ormenis multicaulis oil can have a wildly different composition and smell depending on the harvest location – some are camphoraceous, while others smell more fruity or balsamic. The essential oils may differ in chemical composition too – camphor, myrcene, farnesene, or santolina alcohol can all appear as a majority component.

This makes it difficult to set any quality standards on Ormenis oil and is probably the reason why it is not as popular as its cousin, German chamomile essential oil.
