Overview

Oleanolic acid is a plant-based compound from the terpenoid family. It can be found in many different plants and plant-based foods including olive oil, sage, and mint.

It has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties in skincare, although its effects have only been explored in test-tube experiments so far. These tests suggest that it may also have some anti-aging effects (although we need a clinical test in order for this to be said with certainty).
