Overview

Olea europaea leaf extract is extracted from the leaves of the olive tree. It contains many beneficial compounds for skin health, as is shown by its long tradition in the Mediterranean region.

The main and the most important constituents of the olive extract are Oleuropein and Cornoside. Oleuropein has been subject to anti-aging research that has produced some promising results. Cornoside may have a skin-lightening activity similar to arbutin.
