Overview

Olea europaea fruit extract is an extract obtained either from whole olive fruits or from the press cake after oil extraction. It contains many compounds beneficial for skin health, as is indicated by its long tradition in the Mediterranean region.

The main and the most important constituents of olive extracts are Oleuropein and Cornoside. Oleuropein has been a subject of anti-aging research with promising results, while Cornoside is thought to have a skin-whitening activity similar to arbutin.
