Nymphaea alba, or White water lily, is a beautiful aquatic plant that produces leaves and flowers that float on the water’s surface. The white water lily has a long history of use in traditional medicine, although scientific analysis of the extract only began a few years ago.
The extract of the flower petals contains mainly alkaloids and flavonoids. The extract has shown some very promising antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities.
