A derivative of glucose. It is allegedly an activated form of glucose that may be able to serve as an energy source to the skin, although this claim has not been supported by any research.

Methylglucoside phosphate is a slightly modified version of glucose. It is a part of Neodermyl, a trademarked anti-aging ingredient.
It is unclear, even from the manufacturer's clinical report, if it plays any role in the anti-aging efficacy or if it is just a stabilizing additive.
The manufacturer's clinical report mentions that Methylglucoside phosphate is an activated form of glucose and might serve as an energy source to skin cells, but there is no research that can support this (and no research that even mention this molecule in relation to skincare).
