Overview

Melia azadirachta flower extract is an antioxidant extract derived from the flowers of the Indian lilac, also known as Neem (Melia azadirachta). It is often used in traditional medicine in India.

The Neem flower extracts contain limonoids, which are currently under research for their anti-melanogenic activity. This would make Neem a prospective anti-pigment ingredient, although this cannot be set for sure as of yet.

Other than this, the Melia azadirachta flower extract also contains various flavonoids which add to its antioxidant properties.
