Medicago sativa seed powder is a finely-milled powder made from alfalfa seeds.

Not only do the fine particles act as a gentle abrasive scrub, but the active constituents of alfalfa seeds are also released into the skincare formula and get absorbed by the skin. This includes humectant moisturizing oligosaccharides (galactomannans) and estrogen-like isoflavones, which protect the skin from UV-induced damage.
