Mangifera indica seed butter is a fat obtained from the kernel of the mango seed. It is a semi-solid, plant-based butter that is used for consumption, as well as in skincare.
The majority of the butter is comprised of monounsaturated oleic acid (up to 50%), as well as saturated palmitic and stearic acid.
Mangifera indica (Mango) seed butter is used similarly to cocoa butter – as an emollient moisturizer, especially for dry skin.
