Maltodextrin is a slightly water-loving formula helper with a sweet flavor manufactured from starch. It is often used in rinse products to support their foaming structure. Like other polysaccharide gums, it also helps to form a water-binding film on the skin’s surface.
It is reportedly the most used polysaccharide gum and its molecules consist of 20 or fewer glucose units.
