Malpighia emarginata fruit extract comes from the fruits of the acerola cherry plant, also known as the Barbados cherry. The small tree is native to Central and South America and bears edible sour red fruits.
Barbados cherries are packed with vitamin C and carotenoids, which makes them a potent antioxidant when used in skincare products and consumed as food.
