Overview

Macrocystis pyrifera, also called Giant kelp, is a species of truly gigantic kelp that grows in kelp forests. It is sometimes harvested as a food source but mostly used as an industrial source of alginates, gelatin-like compounds that come from various algae.

The extract from Giant kelp contains many different polysaccharides with moisturizing and soothing properties.
