Overview

Lilium candidum bulb extract is an extract obtained from the bulbs of the white-flowered, intensely scented Madonna lily – Lilium candidum.

The bulbs contain various polysaccharides which, when applied to the skin, act as humectant moisturizers, attracting and keeping moisture to the surface of the skin.

White lily bulbs and petals have been used in traditional medicine for years, mainly in the treatment of wounds, insect bites, and sores. Their soothing effect is due to the presence of polysaccharides and saponins, which have soothing and anti-inflammatory properties.
