Overview

Hydrolyzed rice protein is a water-soluble form of the protein derived from Oryza Sativa aka Rice Bran.

Its main amino acids are arginine, histidine, lysine, aspartic acid, and glutamic acid. Depending upon use level it has a well-balanced amino acid profile that can give hair volume and bounce, add shine due to its film forming ability, and it can help increase moisturization in skin.

It is one of the most widely used, cost effective proteins in cosmetics, especially hair products due to it being gluten free and non-animal derived. It is mild and usually highly coveted by individuals with allergies.
