Overview

Dipeptide diaminobutyroyl benzylamide diacetate is an incredibly long name that describes the exact chemical structure of a synthetically made peptide used under the trademarked name Syn®-Ake.

According to the manufacturer, the structure is similar to the protein called Waglerin 1, which is found in the venom of the Temple Viper. It is a neurotransmitter inhibitor similar to the more famous Argireline / Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 (read about it here) – it acts almost like botox, calming contractions of mimic muscles and reducing the appearance of expression wrinkles, especially around eyes.

It is used as a fast-acting anti-wrinkle ingredient with incredible results in the manufacturer’s tests. These results, however, are not very long-lasting. When you stop applying the skincare product daily and the muscles have a bit of time to return to their original function, then the mimic wrinkles will return.
