Overview

Cymbopogon schoenanthus oil is an essential oil extracted from West Indian lemongrass (also known as camel grass). It is mainly added to skincare products as a fragrance agent due to its fresh, minty, lemony aroma (with main essential oil compounds including piperitone and β-elemene).

Some studies show that it can also be used as an antibacterial agent.
