Citrus paradisi peel oil is an essential oil derived from the peels of the pink grapefruit. Its major component, the famous limonene, is popular for its fresh and clean, citrusy scent.
Like most other essential oils, however, grapefruit peel oil can be skin sensitizing and is recommended to be avoided by people with sensitive skin that is prone to allergic reactions. It also contains furanocoumarins, which can irritate the skin when exposed to sunlight.
