Overview

Ceteareth-25 is a non-ionic ethoxylated emulsifying ingredient. Primarily used to produce oil-in-water emulsions, it creates stable emulsions with most types of oils, including polar oils that can be challenging to work with. This ingredient is supplied as a solid, in the form of a flake or a pellet.

In addition to functioning as an emulsifier, ceteareth-25 can also work as a cleansing agent, or a surfactant. Due to its high polarity, which is a chemical term for being water-loving, it works well to surround dirt and oil particles and allow them to be rinsed away with water.
