Overview

Ceresin is an off-white paraffin wax that originates from purified ozokerite. This hard wax is commonly used alongside or in place of beeswax as a viscosity controlling agent in various skincare products, as an emulsion stabilizer, or as a hardener for stick-based products.

In addition, ceresin can act as an antistatic agent by reducing static electricity buildup, and it can also function as a binding agent and an opacifying agent. This ingredient encompasses a variety of blends of carbon chain lengths. Therefore, its melting point ranges from 68 to over 100 degrees Celsius.
