Overview
Calcium pantothenate is a derivative of the water-soluble vitamin B5, and it is a component of Coenzyme A and the vitamin B2 complex, which are found in the body.
This off-white powder is generally used by itself as an antistatic agent. Because of its chemical structure, it attracts water to itself, which reduces the buildup of static electricity on the surface of the skin.
Calcium pantothenate is also found used in conjunction with other ingredients to create a product that makes the skin feel and look softer. These other ingredients can include aloe vera extract and tocopherol.
