C10-30 Cholesterol/Lanosterol Esters, often referred to as Super Sterol Liquid, is a mixture of different molecules isolated from lanolin (and with a very similar chemical structure). One part is made up of either cholesterol or lanosterol, while the other is a fatty acid with 10 - 30 carbons in its fat-soluble chain. It comes in the form of colorless semi-viscous oily liquid.
It is said to be very similar to the skin's natural cholesterol esters that form the skin’s lipid barrier, contributing to its compatibility and effectiveness in skincare.
Cholesterol, a familiar term, is a vital lipid in the human body, playing a crucial role in cell membrane structure and function. Lanosterol, less known but equally significant, is involved in the biosynthesis of various steroids, including cholesterol.
