Bupleurum falcatum is a lesser-known plant that has been used in traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean medicine (where it is also known as Bei Chai Hu) to treat various ailments such as chronic liver diseases, infections, and immune system disorders.

Bupleurum falcatum root extract’s main active constituents are called saikosaponins and they have been shown to possess strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities.
