Bisabolol is a compound that can be found naturally in German chamomile essential oil. It is a clear, volatile liquid that has a pleasant, sweet, and floral scent.
Apart from being used as a fragrance, it also has soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. It is able to increase the absorption of other active substances that may be present in the skincare product along with it.
Bisabolol, like many other essential oil constituents, can cause an allergic reaction in more sensitive individuals.
