Overview

Bellis perennis flower extract is an extract obtained from the flowers of the common daisy.

It is used for its astringent properties in skincare, giving the skin a tightening feeling and helping with the healing of small cuts and inflammations.

Traditionally, the flowers and leaves of daisies were used in Europe as a treatment for battle wounds. This was backed up in a recent study on rats, where the daisy flower extract significantly sped up the healing process of skin wounds.
