Artemia Extract is an extract from brine shrimp, Artemia salina. There are no available scientific studies that can specify its effects on the skin, but there are several patents that claim the Artemia extract has protective effects, especially against temperature changes.
The extract is obtained by enzymatic extraction (meaning the shrimp were ground and dissolved with the help of various enzymes that break down the shrimp tissues) and allegedly contains nucleotides (a.k.a. the building blocks of DNA).
