Overview
Anhydroxylitol has the primary function of being a humectant. A humectant is a type of moisturization where water is drawn onto the surface of the skin. This ability of anhydroxylitol helps keep the skin free of dryness, and having moisturized skin is also critical to the overall health of the body.
Dry or damaged skin compromises one of the most important functions of the skin: a barrier between the environment and the inside of our bodies. When the skin is compromised, health complications can begin to set in.
