Overview

Alcaligenes polysaccharides are a gel-forming polysaccharide mixture produced by bacterial culture of Alcaligenes latus. The polysaccharides consist of mannose and fructose and are able to form a thick gel in water. This polysaccharide gel is very stable, neutral, humectant moisturizing, and able to help with the formulation of a skincare product.

It can be used as a thickener, gel-forming agent, or as stabilizer.
