Overview

Adenosine is known as a skin-identical ingredient because it is a key molecule in the life of all living cells. In the general metabolism of cells, it is responsible for energy transportation, signaling, enzyme activity, and much more.

In skincare, it has been found to be an effective anti-wrinkle ingredient. In two different trials on human volunteers, an adenosine cream formulation successfully reduced the appearance of crow’s feet, around-eye wrinkles, and forehead frown lines.

In addition to this, the second study also noticed improved skin elasticity and hydration. Because this is a compound that is natural to the skin, it has never been associated with any particular risks, even after continuous use.
