Overview

Actinidia chinensis fruit extract is an antioxidant extract obtained from the fruit of the golden kiwi (Actinidia chinensis).

This fruity-smelling extract is rich in humectant polysaccharides, organic acids, and phenolic compounds. Scientists have suggested that the polysaccharides may have some properties that can help skin cells to create more collagen, although this was only tested in vitro (in test tubes).

We don't know if it works like that on the skin of living humans, but what we do know is that the polysaccharides have the ability to retain moisture to the skin’s surface, and the organic acids and phenolic compounds have antioxidant properties.
