Overview
2-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid (2O-EAA) is a derivative of vitamin C (ascorbic acid). It was created to be a more stable analog of vitamin C (you can read more about it here).
It is rarely used because its cousin, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid (3O-EAA), is often used instead, even though the only difference between them is the position of the little oil-soluble tail. They most likely have very similar properties and uses – antioxidant and (possibly) collagen boosting, anti-wrinkle properties, with better stability than regular ascorbic acid.
We definitely need more information about this ingredient before we can come to any conclusion.
